About The Team

Our team is incredible. From the Early Childhood Educators to the Board of Directors to the Supervisors to the Support Staff. We couldn't be more proud to work with such an amazing group of people.

This page is dedicated to our Early Childhood Educators, Supervisors and Support Staff that make each of our child care centres the incredible places they are for your children. Our early childhood educators work together to plan an emergent curriculum that is based on their on-going observations and reflection of the classroom interests. They carefully plan out everything from the dynamic, educational and fun activities that change daily to the physical space in our early childhood settings. Our early childhood educators think of everything!

Our team is comprised of a group of dedicated professionals who believe in the importance of early learning and early experiences which form a foundation for life-long learning. We are committed to providing early learning programs of excellence that are innovative, proactive and responsive to the community and community needs.

The majority of Kingston Day Care staff members are Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECE). We have a team of approximately 35 employees distributed across four sites. Each of our employees has a unique and skilled background that compliments the rest of the team.

Ongoing professional development and staff training continues to be an important mandate of Kingston Day Care's Board of Directors, ensuring that each of our child care centres remains up to date with current trends and advancements in the field of early childhood education.

We measure the excellence of our child care programs by using the Early Learning for Every Child Today (ELECT) Continuum of Development. This is not a tool to assess children's progress, but rather a tool that provides a reference point for our early childhood educators as they plan and enhance experiences that will support on-going learning and development. The Continuum of Development is made up of root skills from birth to eight years of age and is organized into six domains ~ Social; Physical; Emotional; Communication/language/literacy; and Cognitive.

Kingston Day Care is committed to achieving high standards and quality assurance by promoting and providing Professional Development opportunities for our early childhood educators and support staff on an on-going basis throughout the year.
